If a model aircraft is less than 77.2 pounds  (~35kg), individually owned (no companies allowed) and not profit-seeking, it is considered a recreational vehicle.

Aircraft that don’t meet this criteria are officially “unmanned aerial vehicles” and require Special Flight Operations certificates.

Max Altitude: 400 ft.
